I don't want to change my name. But there is *intense* pressure from all sides. I love my name. I don't want to give up my agency.

I've suggested we create an entire new name for our family. But it is still up in the air. My fiance is concerned about his father's feelings, but my entire name-self connection is in the balance? Why should I be forced to take a name that is not my own?!

No, Mr. Davies just spoke the absolute, unvarnished, unpleasant truth. This election isn't about issues; it's about a composite picture of each of the candidates. Issues are part of that composite, but only part.

If you like Peter's music, you've probably already chased these down, but just in case:

Peter with Paula Cole back in 1994 before most people knew her name, doing "Shaking the tree" live during the Secret World tour: http://youtube.com/watch?v=20wnX307YKA

...and you must see her haunting contributions to "In your eyes," too: http://youtube.com/watch?v=iXRPm7faABo

Peter is more than a gifted musician, he's an excellent poet and a consummate entertainer. The energy he brings to both composition and performance is positively uplifting.
